bm_sts + SCXPM - swampdog - 02-27-2016

Let's discuss the "bm_sts" map and how it could be better with SCXPM

What exactly are the problems that are occurring on this map with SCXPM? I haven't played the map much to even know what happens in it. Please describe in as much detail as possible what exactly what could make this map better. We may be able to configure the map to our liking, but I need to know what is going on to get an idea of what needs to change. Thank you for giving feedback about this if you want to see this map running on our servers. The only way I can tell what is going on is from what you guys tell me most of the time, so please try to be as accurate as possible.

So XPM = higher player stats

Higher player stats = harder kill

Harder kill = XPM high level players spawnkilling/rdm low level players

but really, play some bm_sts, swampdog

The map is super unfair with SCXPM, since some parts of the map is pvp based. Now if i'm running around with 300 health and 200 armor vs others 100 health no armor, you can easily see who would win in that duel.

XPM has been disabled yay!

Once we remove Team Power from SCXP things like this wouldn't be much of a problem.

The long and short of it is this: Team Power during PVP segments make someone nigh impossible to kill, and Ammo Reincarnation may generate a magical M16 when someone shouldn't have it - turning the monster battle and pre-fight phases into a trial of futility as they shoot opposing teams and potentially destroy their monster spawning crystals (which effectively stops the map dead in its tracks).

I think I found out where the M16 bug is occurring, and I intend on making a version of SCXPM that does not have team power.... Once these changes are made to the code I guess we could try to re-enable SCXPM
