SCXPM, Medals, Eggs, VIP, Ideas - swampdog - 03-02-2016
DarkHaze and I are working on a medal spending system, and also a XP spending system, to integrate into WeaponMod (if we ever get it working correctly).. If someone donates to ModRiot.com, they will receive medals as well (I almost forgot about this). It hasn't been determined exactly what benefits will be available for VIP / donators yet. My currently project is figuring out what will be configured for donators or VIP. I am working with Dark Haze on other projects as well. I haven't been sitting at computer much in last few days, but will be around more often in coming days into the weekend. The first official Egg Hunt ends this Friday night/Saturday morning at 12:00am PST, and a new contest will immediately begin which will last another 2 weeks. There will still be one more contest after that, so there will be plenty of a chance to win in the contest. Changes may be made to reduce or increase number of eggs in Sven Coop. Here is a little secret that might piss off Sven Coop players : You can play CS or DoD and potentially collect eggs much faster between rounds
So if you want to collect eggs faster, play CS or DoD on the Seattle or Germany locations. There are no rounds in Sven Coop. It would be interesting to figure out how to spawn the eggs with a timer, but that is beyond my ability to do currently.

Wait, but these competitions top 10 list is for CS or DoD or Svencoop, or all games on the same server?

The servers that are on the same host (Germany: de.modriot.com, Seattle: sea.modriot.com, Los Angeles: la.modriot.com, or New York: ny.modriot.com) all have their own individual databases. Every game server is connected to the same database on the host it is running on. So, you can collect eggs in Day of Defeat, BrainBread, Counter-Strike, OR Sven Coop (maybe even TFC or another mod soon) on the Seattle host servers, and all the eggs are counted in the same database on the Seattle host. You can collect eggs in Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike, OR Sven Coop (maybe even TFC or another mod soon) on the Germany host servers, and all the eggs are counted in the same database on the Germany host. You will be able to soon collect eggs in Sven Coop OR TFC on the New York host servers, and all the eggs are counted in the same database on the New York host. The Los Angeles location is the only host that only counts Sven Coop, because there are no other Half-Life 1 servers running on the Los Angeles host.
We just configured these stats for the Seattle and Germany locations:

And stats show up in game MOTD window in Day of Defeat and Counter-Strike when typing "eggtop", "eggtop10", "/eggtop" or "/eggtop10" in chat. We are trying to get it to run with all mods, so in-game top10 is going to hopefully happen for Sven Coop soon as well.
