Map Remove Request - MrOats - 08-29-2016 On the map 'bossrush', one can only leave if they player stack or level up Anti-grav to jump up and hit a button. Then rush as fast as they can to the oppposite end of the spawn area to reach the teleporter out there. This teleporter is only accessible when the door opens by the button, which closes very quickly. This door can be stuck open if a player sits under it, but it is annoying for new players as they are usually alone in the spawn area. I've seen this already where someone joins and gets upset that they cannot leave the spawn area because of the task that is required. I can post a video demoing this if need be. RE: Map Remove Request - APEX - 08-29-2016 i agree it can get annoying to press the button and rush to the teleporter, i think that if the button is pressed once then the door stays open forever if thats possible to do. I guess we can remove the map until this gets resolved, but I don't really want to remove the map if it doesn't have any serious malfunctions I haven't really played the map to even find out what to do, so a video would help or having one of you guys guide me to the area where the problem is in game. It sounds like a ripent edit to keep the door open would be ideal. Well, I guess we could ripent edit it just to remove the need for the button, but I think it is supposed to be part of the challenge of the map lol.... I think one of the guys who created some of the Uboa maps created this map. http://scmapdb.com/map:bossrush So it makes sense why it would be really weird right? lol Is there something else in the video that I am supposed to notice near the end?? A comment from scmapdb: "I don't know who made "bossrush_debug.zip" but the final Boss battle is pretty broken, the squadmakers have been disabled so that only 1 Boss spawns (the critical one). Whilst this might well be useful for debug purposes, it certainly isn't good for gameplay! This version should never have been uploaded if it's actually a map-testing edit. If I can fix it properly I'll post an alternative version to the current one." |
