Rules and Info for October "Epic Harvest" contest - swampdog - 10-01-2016 EPIC HARVEST EVENT RULES / INFO Collect Pumpkins, gain XP, and win prizes in any of these mods: Sven Coop, Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike 1.6, Team Fortress Classic, Gangwars, and BrainBread. All of these mods will be connected to the same databases that records the number of pumpkins being collected. If you play Sven Coop, Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, Gangwars, or BrainBread, all the pumpkins you collect will be counted in this event. Other mods may eventually be added as well (hopefully Base Defense ). Servers will be "confirmed" as participating in the contest once they are fully ready to be added. Servers may be confirmed at any time. Qualifying Game Servers: 67.181.234.23:27016 Base Defense [US: West] (Not Confirmed Yet) 172.110.31.161:27018 BrainBread [US: Northwest] (Confirmed) 192.241.71.173:27070 Counter-Strike 1.6 [US: East] - SCXPM Cross-Mod + Bots + Monsters (shared XP with Sven Coop 5.0) (Confirmed) 192.241.71.173:27018 Day of Defeat [US: East] - Warcraft 3 + Bots + Monsters (Confirmed) 5.9.66.170:27029 Gangwars [EU] (Not Confirmed Yet) 5.9.66.170:27060 Sven-Coop [EU] - SCXPM Cross-Mod #1 (shared XP with CS 1.6) (Confirmed) 5.9.66.170:27316 Sven-Coop [EU] - SCXPM Cross-Mod #2 (shared XP with CS 1.6) (Confirmed) 192.241.71.173:27016 Sven-Coop [US: East] - SCXPM Cross-Mod (shared XP with CS 1.6) (Confirmed) 172.110.31.161:27045 Sven-Coop [US: Northwest] - SCXPM Cross-Mod (shared XP with CS 1.6) (Confirmed) 192.241.71.173:27017 Team Fortress Classic [US: East] (Confirmed) More game servers may be added to the competition at any time. Maximizing the number of servers participating in this competition is the goal. We will have as many servers as we possibly can. We may also add more mod support if it is wanted or needed. There is a single database which keeps record of all pumpkins collected on any qualifying game server, so any server you play on will keep record of your pumpkin collection statistics. Prizes are subject to change at any time, so pay attention for updates. Prizes and places for contest winners: With a new "Prestige" system code being added to the Sven Co-op Experience Mod (SCXPM) plugin, a level of Prestige will be added to each of the top 100 participants. With that, a level reset would normally be necessary to use the prestige system, but because of this event it will be added and include the current levels of the player PLUS an additional level for each place (i.e. 100th place = 1 level, 1st place = 100 levels). In order to receive the prizes, the person must be a member on our forum and request that an admin add the levels after confirming participation by providing a Steam ID to determine the persons rank in the contest. So, currently, the prizes are: 1st place: 1 level of prestige + 100 levels through 100th place: 1 level of prestige + 1 level If you would like to help with creativity to help determine the types of prizes, please share your ideas. I haven't had much time to think about this so I haven't many more ideas right now. In a past event we gave access to hats and reserved slots for 1 month, but those options might not be ideal for now. We may include more prizes as time goes by and develop more ideas for further contests, so if there are more developments in these areas relating to this event then those prizes may also be available when possible. For everyone who particpates and does not place in the top ranks for the competitions, we will give you an Official "Contest Competitor" title on our forum and award you with something yet to be determined for participation ONLY IF YOU REQUEST IT through our forum at http://ModRiot.com. We wil need proof of Steam ID to verify your participation in the competitions of this event. Rules (which are subject to change): 1. To qualify for prizes in the Epic Harvest contest, you must be registered on the forum at http://www.modriot.com and you must become a member of our Steam Group at http://steamcommunity.com/groups/modriotgaming . 2. The Epic Harvest competition begins on Saturday, October 1st at 12:00 AM PST and ends on Tuesday, November 1st at 11:59PM PST. 3. All record stats found using the "eventrank" or "/eventrank" command will be reset on all servers before the competition starts. The top numbered ranks in the competition will be announced as soon as possible after the competition ends. It make take a little while to make an announcement, but we will do our best to announce the contest winners as soon as we possibly can. Awards will be granted following each announcement of contest winners following the end of the competition. 4. Interruption in server hosting services may occur at any time, and we cannot guarantee you the operation of our services under certain circumstances. There may be times that servers go down for maintenance or may crash. Understand that we are doing everything we can to allow for a free and fair competitive event that we are hosting for fun. 5. Breaking any of the server rules and guidelines to be followed by players of servers hosted by ModRiot.com may be disqualified. Respect admins and moderators at all times. Ask any questions on our forum if you have any. 6. No one (admins) may use "No-Clip", teleport, or other forms of exploitation to get pumpkins during the competition. If caught using these methods to collect pumpkins, you may be disqualified. This rule does not apply for noclip or teleporting skills and powers in Day of Defeat Warcraft 3 or Counter-Strike Superhero Mod. 7. No one (admins) may spawn pumpkins during the competition - if caught spawning pumpkins to collect them you may be disqualified. 8. No one (admins) may use "God Mode" on players during Epic Harvest competition - if caught having God Mode while collecting pumpkins you will be disqualified. 9. Anyone caught using any exploit to cheat in this event may be disqualified. We understand it is a buggy game and is fun sometimes, but cheating ruins fun in many other ways. Please refrain from the temptation to take advantage of any exploit at any time. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. If you have a complaint about cheating, abuse, or exploitation, submit it on our forum here in Abuse Support ( http://modriot.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=13 ) so we can review it. It may be very challenging for us to find any instances of abuse. It is highly likely we will disregard complaints unless there is a form of proof to substantiate your claim. People are innocent until proven guilty, so provide proof if you plan on making such a claim. 10. Have fun, and don't take the game too damn serious! If you really want a hat, then ask and an admin will try to give you one (or two, if you are nice!) RE: Rules and Info for October "Epic Harvest" contest - swampdog - 11-02-2016 I updated the prizes information. See above ^ If you would like to help with creativity to help determine the types of prizes, please share your ideas. The prizes will be made available as soon as possible and may take some time to process requests for the prizes. We are also going to be experimenting with a newer version of the SCXPM code, so there is also a possibility that some parts of the code may have bugs or be still in development. Please be patient. More details about the changes made to the SCXPM code will be documented as soon as possible and referenced in this forum.
