Hello,
Recently me and some other Empires Mod veterans have noticed you put up a server for this game.
We were excited and anxious at the same time about the server. We googled modriot gaming and saw you have a steamgroup 7000 man big.
Empires Mod has been in a population stalemate for a long time. 30-50 players on the weekends and between 10-30 during weekdays. An extra influx of population would be great.
If you guys are thinking about staying for the long run let me redirect you to https://forums.empiresmod.com/index.php for all empires related questions discussions and support.
For any server related help, including some really great plugins some of our players made:
Vicki, long time veteran in the game, and ex server owner. Very friendly and helpful.http://steamcommunity.com/id/Viper_Vicki
Trickster ex server owner http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197971092931/
The creeper current server owner http://steamcommunity.com/id/thecreeper101
I've been playing Empires for almost a decade now, still do most weekends and will probably never stop.
The game is an amazing RTS/FPS hybrid that is extremely challenging, read extremely hard, read learning curve is through the roof.
But it is also very rewarding to finally through teamwork and persistance kill the enemy comm after a 60 minute round.
This all sounds really great, but empires has one big downside aswell:
Due to the nature of the game and the high will to win, the veteran players are very " unfriendly", myself included, to new players who dont learn or are "griefing the game".
We only have 1 server that is active, that means 1 game at a time. Rounds are very tense and any shift of balance could tip the scales to ones favor thats why newbs sometimes dont get appreciated and get flamed for small things.
But this all comes from the amazing reward you can get from winning. Winning a 20v20 empires game just makes your evening if you know you participated and put in your hard work.
I have played games for more than 10years, and not a single other game has made my heart beat as fast as empires can.
If you have any gameplay questions or other questions, feel free to ask away.
